Well, the pot-bangers don't support the accuser imo. They are just using her as a prop for their agenda.

How many people here are referring to actual supporters of the accuser using that term?

I'm not.

Did the attorney cancel the meeting on behalf of someone other than the players?

Did the players authorize the attorney to represent them?
If not, his actions aren't attributable to them.

Ahh, another triumphant "alpha male" celebrating his well-earned love among 98% of those earthlings who are not 'envious and jelious' of his ilk.   Pardon me for calling delusional BS what it is.  This case is about the conduct of certain individuals in North Carolina, and the consequences thereof, not about the ascendancy some uber-class of men that exist in your mind.

Might one be taking another's words just a wee bit too literally?

Trinity Rez and others, please find another word besides pot-bangers that is less insulting.  Try, "those that support the accuser" or something like that.

How about "Cast raters" as in cast of characters?

How about the "mob extras"?, as in players from whom nothing individual is expected, or encouraged.

Did the players show up for the agreed upon meeting between the players and the police?  Did they cancel and not show up, or just not show up?

Do you have a link showing where players agreed to a meeting?

Meanwhile, Dean Sue Wasiolek arranged for a local lawyer, Wes Covington, to act as a “facilitator” in arranging for a group meeting with police.

The night before the meeting, one player broke down and told his father, who happened to be in Durham.

All we really know is that Duke tried to get the players into an ill-advised en mass interrogation without representation.

One of the players must have realized this was a bad idea without their own representation and let the cat out of the bag.

When the plot was discovered, an attorney asssociated with the Duke attorney informed the police that the interrogation would not be taking place.

I can easily imagine higher ups at Duke being alarmed at this back door maneuvering and wanting no part of it.

Dean Sue agreed to have a Duke attorney represent the players and Duke at an interrogation regarding a gang rape, and then she backed out, imo.

IMHO - Ok from what I have read, now that there are not facts available to indicate that the players are guilty of any of the
criminal charges in this fiasco.  You are now moving onto attacking them and laying blame on them for this whole mess, saying that if they cooperated in the begining this would not have happened?

Everytime Defendant Nifong learned something from the defense, ie: alibi, the accusers story changed, police notes showed up to support the accusers story and the defendants alibi, now 10 months later, 1st interview with the accuser and she says that
the timeline is completely different.  Amazing, it appears the kid who told his father who ended up having the meeting, cancelled, or whatever term you want to choose, "is" I don't care, did a smart thing.

B/c we have witnessed what Nifong and company can do with what they have, and it was not honest.   Yet here you are 10 months later, now you are saying that it was the lacross teams fault for all of this b/c they did not cooperate with Nifong.   What a joke, why did Nifong not interview the plaintiff?  That is the question you should be asking if you really cared about the truth and did not have an agenda.

Nothing in that link shows that the players ever agreed to a meeting.  I expect the players were "told" that a meeting had been set up which, after good advice, they declined until they could get their own representation. IMO.
